Global Telelinks now offers the Automatic Top-up or Recharge feature. You may now recharge your account without being disconnected.


What is Auto Recharge or Top-up?

 

· The new auto recharge feature allows you to automatically top-up your account when your account balance falls below $10 while you are connected. You can top-up with any amount between $15 to $100.

 

How does the Automatic Recharge / Top-up feature work?

 

· When you want to make a call or while you are already connected, the system prompts you if your balance is below $10.

The System prompts you to press 1 if you want to recharge or press 2 if you want to proceed with the call without recharging.

If you press 1, the system will ask you to enter the dollar amount you want to spend to recharge. Once you enter the amount, the system will automatically recharge your account and prompt you to enter the destination number you wish to call. When you enter the destination number, the system will notify you of the number of minutes you have available to you for that number.

 

How secure or safe is it to use this automatic recharge feature?

 

·  This recharge feature is totally secure and you do not need to divulge your credit card details at any point to use this feature. The transaction takes place automatically through 128bit encrypted secure line using your registered credit card details on the system.

 

How do I know if the system has charged my credit card the exact amount I entered?

 

· As soon as the transaction is completed the system will notify you of the exact amount charged to your account and the increased minutes now available for the destination you have dialled. You can only recharge with a value between $15 to $100.

In addition, you can also see the details of the transaction from your homepage on our website. The details include value of the transaction, date, time as well if the transaction was authorized by someone (you) using your registered phone numbers. This is indicated by a *mark against the transaction.

 

How can I ensure that fraudulent use or misuse of my credit card doesn't happen?

 

We have ensured several strict guidelines to avoid misuse or fraudulent use of credit cards to protect our valued customers. These guidelines are as follows:

 

      · Nobody can automatically charge your account using the credit card from any other phone number other than your registered phone numbers.


The system first screens the origin of the call and only if it detects the call came from a registered phone number of the account, it recharges the account.

If the transaction is authorized from any other number, the authentication fails and the account is not recharged.

 

      · The system does not allow more than one transaction within 4 hours of the first transaction; does not allow more than $250 spend per week or more than $100 spend per transaction.

      · In case the system detects a continuous effort to try and recharge outside the guidelines, it will block the credit card from further transactions.

 

The above safeguards minimise the risk and ensure safe credit card transactions through the system.

 

Is there an alternative way to recharge or top-up my account?

 

· You may choose the option for an automatic top-up while signing up for the service on our website. You may subscribe for an automatic top-up by a fixed amount when the balance falls below the minimum or manually top-up on as needed basis by logging into the account and filling out the details.

You may also call customer service anytime to recharge your account for you.
